Creative Biolabs is a leading provider of antibody development services. Especially in the production of antagonist autoantibodies, we can provide one-stop service from antibody screening, design to characterization.
Antibodies that react with their own molecules appear in healthy individuals, called natural antibodies or autoantibodies. They play an important role in the main defense of many diseases because of their wide reactivity to various microbial components. Antagonistic autoantibodies have been observed in some diseases. For example, the presence of autoantibodies as antagonists at M3 muscarinic receptors (M3R) on the smooth muscle in the serum of primary and secondary Sjogren's syndrome (SS) patients can lead to autonomic nervous dysfunction. M3R mediate the stimulation of acetylcholine to lacrimal and salivary glands, as well as the contraction of the bladder and intestinal smooth muscle and the effect of acetylcholine on nitric oxide production in blood vessels. In addition, there is also an antagonistic autoantibody against a cluster of differentiation 95 (CD95) that plays a key role in the treatment of patients with toxic epidermal necrolysis. The increased apoptosis of keratin cells observed in this disease seems to be mediated by the interaction of CD95 ligand/CD95 receptor molecules, which can be blocked by antagonistic anti-CD95 autoantibodies.

The treatment of the disease requires a comprehensive understanding of its pathogenesis before we put forward better coping strategies. Antagonistic autoantibodies mediate many types of diseases, either positive or negative. Therefore, the development of antagonistic autoantibodies is very important in these diseases. It can provide useful clinical information for the identification of related antibodies, so as to help researchers diagnose diseases and achieve a better therapeutic effect.
As a leader in the use of phage display for the generation of antibodies, Creative Biolabs can assist in accelerating the development of antagonistic autoantibodies. We combine state-of-the-art products and services with advanced technology platforms to lay the foundation for efficient antibody development. Features of our services include:
In addition to our customized development of antagonistic autoantibodies, our scientists focus on designing, expressing, purifying and characterizing antibodies, and also involve the development of different types of antibodies. We welcome inquiries for contract and custom manufacturing within a variety of research areas. Please feel free to contact us.
