Engineering Liver Cancer Cell HuH-7 for Self-destruction
Several innovative concepts for a variety of medical applications have already been introduced employing the principles of synthetic biology. Based on a platform for synthetic gene circuits for cancer immunotherapy, Creative Biolabs provides solutions and services for the research, development and production of biotechnology and cancer immunotherapy. This platform can be widely used in a variety of cancer research such as liver cancer. With a state of art R&D facility and in-house expertise, we are able to engineer liver cancer cell HuH-7 utilizing several strategies, turning cancer cells against themselves.
Introduction of Huh-7 Cell Line
Liver cancer research is especially dependent on Huh-7. Huh-7 is a well-differentiated hepatocyte-derived cellular carcinoma cell line that was originally taken from a liver tumor in a 57-year-old Japanese male in 1982. They are tumorigenic, adherent cells with epithelial morphology. This cell line has been characterized by the production of a variety of physiologically active substances including alpha-fetoprotein and albumin. The Huh-7 cell line has proven to be highly beneficial for in vitro research into hepatitis B, hepatitis C, dengue fever, and hepatoma. Like human cancer cell lines in general, Huh-7 is a mainstay in the study of tumors and the development of drugs to combat them.
Engineering Huh-7 Cell Line Service
Synthetic biology has become an innovative solution for the design of new, effective strategies in many fields including cell-based immunotherapies. That involves various cytokines and their signaling pathways. Creative Biolabs provides several strategies to design and construct functional genetic circuits into cancer cells for cancer immunotherapy. Based on your project needs, our scientific team is available to deliver customized HuH-7 cells, through:
Cytokines play a pleiotropic function that can act both as immunosuppressors or activators depending on the cancer context. Engineering cancer cells with cytokine overexpression lead to the local recruitment of inflammatory cells that in turn can inhibit tumor growth. The whole cancer cells can be used as therapeutic vaccines to increase the tumor-specific adaptive response. Creative Biolabs provides cytokine-based modification services with a variety of choices. If you don't see the cytokines you want to modify below, please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.
