Single Domain Antibody (SdAb)-Polystyrene Bead Labeling Service

As a pioneer and the undisputed global leader in the field of the single domain antibody (sdAb) conjugation, Creative Biolabs now offers sdAb-polystyrene beads labeling service for our customers all over the world. Based on our world-leading antibody engineering platform and years of extensive experience, we can not only provide high-efficiency common sdAb-polystyrene bead labeling services for our clients but also provide custom conjugation approach to meet our clients’ special research requirement.

Polystyrene itself is a thermoplastic material that exists in solid form at room temperature and melts when heated. Polystyrene beads is a kind of new functional polymeric materials in which nanoparticles as nuclear, polystyrene as the shell. In recent years, polystyrene beads have been increasing in biomedical applications. Because of its good adsorption properties, excellent optical mechanical properties, high surface activity, and recyclable characteristics, polystyrene beads have shown their unique advantages in clinical diagnosis, detection, immunoassay, cytology and other research fields.

The types of polystyrene beads:

Single domain antibodies (sdAbs), also known as domain bodies, are antibody fragment consisting of a single monomeric variable antibody domain, derived from the heavy-chain-only antibodies produced by camelids and sharks, or the specific developed human VH and VL domain. Compared with the conventional antibodies, sdAbs have a much smaller molecular weight which is only ~15 kDa. Due to a series of special characteristics, such as small size, simple production, and high affinity, sdAbs show great potential for the applications in biotechnical and therapeutic use.

Now Creative Biolabs can combine single domain antibody service and polystyrene bead labeling service together to provide the sdAb-polystyrene beads labeling service. The coupling procedure relates to a primary amino group of a protein and a carbodiimide reaction of a carboxyl functional group bonded to the surface of the polystyrene beads. The carboxyl groups on the surface of the polystyrene beads must first be activated with a carbodiimide derivative prior to coupling the protein. Under the action of special chemical reagents (such as EDC), the covalent coupling of peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides and other biological ligands to the surface of microspheres is an important carrier for medical and molecular biology research.

With the extensive experience and advanced platform, Creative Biolabs is promising to have the capability to enable you to free up your time for core work and project. We are pleased to try our best to offer the best service and the most qualified products to satisfy each demand from our customers.
