L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1-CAM)

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

L1 cell adhesion molecule(L1-CAM), also known as L1, CAML1, CD171, HSAS, HSAS1, MASA, MIC5, N-CAM-L1, N-CAML1, NCAM-L1, S10, SPG1, is encoded by the L1CAM gene, which is a transmembrane protein member of the L1 protein family. By the expression in neural, hematopoietic and transformed epithelial cells, this neuronal cell adhesion molecule playing a role in cell migration, adhesion, neurite outgrowth, myelination and neuronal differentiation. L1-CAM expression promotes invasiveness of the tumor as well as chemoresistance, which is related to ovarian cancer, colon cancer, glioma, renal cell cancer, neuroblastoma, endometrial cancer, melanoma, pancreatic cancer.
