In the human complement system, ficolins refer to pattern recognition receptors that mediate the activation of the lectin pathway. Encoded by the gene localized on chromosome 9 (9q34), L-ficolin (FCN2) is a serum lectin with a molecular weight of ~37 kDa. L-ficolin is mainly synthesized by the liver and has been served as a key molecule of the innate immune system. To help conduct L-ficolin research efficiently, Creative Biolabs has developed a novel L-Ficolin purification protocol for our clients all over the world.
