Product Details

Liposomes are closed vesicles with a lipid bilayer structure that can encapsulate both hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs within the vesicle interior or the lipid bilayer membrane. With extensive experience in lipid-based delivery systems, Creative Biolabs has dedicatedly developed a liposome preparation kit that streamlines the experimental process for customers. This kit serves as a convenient tool for instant liposome preparation, allowing for quick and easy formation of liposomes while preventing instability issues such as oxidation, hydrolysis, aggregation, or leakage associated with liposomes.

Effectiveness of a Controlled 5-FU Delivery Based on FZD10 Antibody-Conjugated Liposomes in Colorectal Cancer In vitro Models

Author: Scavo, Maria Principia, et al.

This project investigated the effects of FZD10 antibody-based 5-Fluorouracil liposomes (anti-FZD10/5-FU/LPs) on colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. Researchers successfully prepared 5-FU/LPs using a liposome preparation kit and obtained anti-FZD10/5-FU/LPs through conjugation with the FZD10 antibody. Subsequently, they assessed the impact of FZD10/5-FU/LPs with different concentrations of 5-FU on cell survival of FZD10-positive CRC cells (CoLo-205 and CaCo-2). The results indicated that, compared to free 5-FU and non-targeted liposomes (5-FU/LPs), anti-FZD10/5-FU/LPs significantly enhanced the cytotoxic activity of 5-FU in a time-dependent manner. This study demonstrates that the liposome preparation kit can effectively produce drug-loaded liposomes, which can be conjugated with antibodies for targeted delivery. By encapsulating the drug within liposomes, this kit significantly enhances its therapeutic efficacy, making it an invaluable asset in the field of treatment.
