Glutaryl-Liposome is Liposome with the carboxyl group, which can be activated by EDC (1-ethyl-3-[3-dimethylaminopropyl] carbodiimide) and react with sulfo-NHS (N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide) to produce a significantly more stable and more soluble active intermediate (NHS ester). The intermediate can covalently conjugate to the amine group on the proteins, peptides or antibodies through displacement of sulfo-NHS group by amine.
Glutaryl-Liposome is a liposome with a carboxyl group that can be activated for covalent conjugation with proteins, peptides, or antibodies using EDC and sulfo-NHS.
What pH range is most efficient for EDC activation reactions?
EDC activation reactions are most efficient at pH 4.7-6.0.
How do Glutaryl-Liposomes compare to non-functionalized liposomes?
Glutaryl-Liposomes offer more specific conjugation capabilities and enhanced stability due to covalent linking.
Why is pH 6 chosen for the PBS buffer in this product?
pH 6 is chosen to optimize the efficiency of the EDC activation reactions.
