Creative Biolabs is pleased to introduce our iPSC-facilitated high-throughput flow cytometry assay service to our global customers, to advance your projects on pigmentation.
Flow cytometry is a technique widely used in basic research, preclinical/clinical trials, and research for commercial purposes. It can be utilized to evaluate the physical and chemical characteristics of a population of particles and cells.
In flow cytometry assay, particles or cell samples are suspended in a fluid, then injected into the core instrument, the flow cytometer. Through a laser beam, the particles and cells in the samples are expected to flow one by one and exhibit their characteristics and components by fluorescence, light absorption, light scattering, etc., as the particles and cells are usually labeled with fluorescent makers and the patterns of wavelengths can be gathered and analyzed. The technique is high-throughput, tens of thousands of particles or cells can be rapidly examined, and various parameters can be determined at once. Cells possessing different properties can be also separated according to these results for further purposes.
There is a broad range of applications of high-throughput cytometry assay, including ion flux, cell viability analysis, cell cycle assay, immunophenotyping, microbial analysis, cellular DNA/RNA analysis, and many other assays.

Pigmentation is induced by melanin and affected by sun exposure, inflammation, acne vulgaris, or other skin injuries, and is closely involved with a variety of diseases or conditions. Flow cytometry can be applied to measure cell cycle and cell viability of melanocytes in research on pigmentation. In addition, since pigment production is a critical hallmark of normal melanocytic differentiation, flow cytometry can be used to detect pigment in unfixed cells, achieving high-purity separation of viable melanoma cells according to the content of melanin pigment.
At Creative Biolabs, we provide a one-stop iPSC-facilitated high-throughput flow cytometry assay service here, including meticulous experiment design, standardized operation, reliable data analysis, and detailed reports, to assist you in your exploration of the melanogenesis pathway.
