PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
NHS-diazirine is a chemical compound that contains an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester group attached to a diazirine ring. The diazirine ring is a photoreactive group. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the diazirine ring generates a highly reactive carbene intermediate. This carbene can covalently react with nearby biomolecules, allowing for the specific crosslinking of proteins, nucleic acids, etc.
