| Introduction | C2b is a smaller fragment of complement protein C2 that is produced by activation of the classical and lectin pathways. Activation of the classical and lectin pathways results in proteolytic enzyme complexes that bind to the target surface. C1s and MASPs in these complexes activate C4 and C2. |
