Product Overview Recombinant Equine herpesvirus 1 (strain Ab4p) (EHV-1) Envelope glycoprotein L was expressed in E. coli with a His-tag or Tag free. The biological activity was determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. This product can be used in ELISA, WB, and IP.
Biological Activity Determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.
Source E. coli
Species Equine herpesvirus 1 (strain Ab4p) (EHV-1)
Tag His-tag or Tag free
Purity >90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Conjugation Biotin
Target gL
Full Name Envelope glycoprotein L
Uniprot ID P28941
Background The heterodimer glycoprotein H-glycoprotein L is required for the fusion of viral and plasma membranes leading to virus entry into the host cell. Acts as a functional inhibitor of gH and maintains gH in an inhibited form. Upon binding to host integrins, gL dissociates from gH leading to activation of the viral fusion glycoproteins gB and gH.
Alternate Names Envelope glycoprotein L; gL
