Non-combustible Substance Content Analysis Service

Accelerate Your Research with Ash Analysis

Creative Biolabs is a leader in Biomass composition analysis. Lignocellulose is widely available and renewable, which is a common biomass feedstock for the fermentation and biochemical industries. Ash is a non-combustible substance. Its testing is an effective way to analyze the inorganic content of lignocellulose. At Creative Biolabs, we offer an ash content analysis service for a wide range of lignocellulosic materials. We have optimized the ash content testing procedure to ensure that we provide our clients with the most accurate data.

  • Laboratory instrument
Muffle furnace: It is used to determine the ash content of the sample.
  • Ash content analysis steps
    • Moisture content detection: We place the sample in a crucible and dry it overnight. Then the moisture content is determined in the sample by mass difference.
    • Ash content detection: The dried sample is placed in a muffle furnace and processed according to our optimized experimental procedure.
    • Ash content calculation: We weigh the ash sample and calculate the ash content.

Consistent with Lignin Content, Starch Content, and other analyses, we are committed to providing our clients with the most accurate ash content analysis possible so they make the most of their lignocellulosic feedstocks. Our technical staff adheres to strict standards to ensure reproducible and accurate ash content results.

Advantages of Ash Content Analysis Service

  • Fast and accurate: The ash test method is simple and easy to operate, and can quickly determine the ash content in the sample.
  • Objective and reliable: We ensure that the ash analysis results are highly accurate and precise.
  • Detailed analysis reports: Our ash content analysis reports are very detailed.

Ash content analysis is often used in pretreatment and conversion studies of biomass such as lignocellulose. Creative Biolabs offers a very specialized ash content analysis service. Our deep understanding of various analytical techniques and cutting-edge technologies allows us to flexibly adapt our analytical tools and solutions in real time. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our ash content analysis services.

Published data

Ash content analysis helps to better evaluate lignocellulosic treatments. In this study, the ash content and composition of a variety of raw and pretreated lignocellulosic biomasses such as cassava peels and yam peels were examined. The analysis of ash content and composition allowed a clear comparison of the role played by sample pretreatment in altering the elemental composition. The final results showed that alkali pretreatment was more effective for the biomass. This study provides a demonstration for us to detect and analyze the ash content.

FAQs

Q1: What are the instruments available for burning samples at high temperatures in ash content analysis?

A1: Ovens, muffle furnaces, box furnaces, tube furnaces, and other instruments are used to burn samples at high temperatures in ash content analysis.

Q2: What is the significance of ash content for the utilization of biomass such as lignocellulose?

A2: Ash content analysis is used to assess the ash content and composition of various biomass samples including lignocellulose, such as wood chips, straw, and other feedstocks used for bioenergy production. It helps to assess the suitability of these materials for combustion processes, determine ash handling strategies, and minimize the environmental impact of bioenergy production. In addition to this, its analysis has also been used to evaluate pretreatment and bioconversion methods for lignocellulose.

Customer Review

Accurate and Courteous Analysis Service
"Understanding the ash content in lignocellulose helped us to evaluate lignocellulose treatments more clearly. Through thorough consideration, we chose to work with Creative Biolabs. Their analysis was very fast and accurate. The detailed analytical reports and attentive after-sales service provided valuable insights into the composition of lignocellulose, which was essential for us to evaluate treatments."

High Analysis Efficiency
"We had a large sample size and were making slow progress in detecting lignocellulosic components. We were very happy to be working with Creative Biolabs. Their ash content analysis service helped optimize our lignocellulosic conversion process. Their analysts demonstrated a rich pool of expertise and fast experiment cycle times throughout the analysis. Efficient ash content analysis accelerated our research."
