A zoonotic disease is defined as an infection that can be transmitted from animals to humans or from humans to animals. Zoonotic diseases are closely related to multiple pathogens. Common pathogens include various viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and parasites. According to the etiology, zoonotic diseases are divided into different categories: viral zoonotic diseases (rabies, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and avian influenza), bacterial zoonoses (salmonellosis, tuberculosis and plague), fungal zoonosis (ringworm, chlamydia zoonosis and mycoplasma zoonosis.) and parasitic zoonosis (toxoplasmosis and malaria).
Gut Microbiota Related Abs
Gut microbiota refer to a wide variety of microorganisms that live in the digestive tract of animals, including fungi, bacteria, archaea, and viruses. Gut microbiota possess a wide range of functions. The gut microbiome play a critical role in digesting food, regulating intestinal endocrine function, regulating drug metabolism and eliminating toxins. In addition, gut microbiota are closely related to colonization, intestinal epithelial cell maintenance, pathogen resistance, metabolism and immune regulation.
Foodborne Pathogen Related Abs
Foodborne illnesses are usually caused by the ingestion of food contaminated by other substances, common sources of contamination include chemicals and pathogenic bacteria. Foodborne pathogens mainly include a variety of bacteria, viruses and even parasites present in food, which are the cause of foodborne diseases. Campylobacter and salmonella are common foodborne pathogens. Escherichia coli, which is commonly found in meat, and Clostridium botulinum, which is found in canned foods, can also cause foodborne illness. Notably, parasites are another critical class of foodborne pathogens.
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Related Abs
