Anti-Spirochete Antibody Products

As a forward-looking researcher as well as a leading custom service provider in the field of antibody discovery, Creative Biolabs has won a good reputation among our worldwide customers for successfully accomplishing numerous challenging projects including the generation of anti-spirochete antibodies.

Introduction of Spirochete

Spirochete, also known as spirochaete, belongs to the phylum Spirochaetota. Spirochetes are always chemoheterotrophic with lengths ranging from 3 to 500μm and diameters ranging from 0.09 to at least 3μm. Spirochetes include aerobic and anaerobic species, as well as free-living and parasitic forms. Till now, the order Spirochaetales can be classified into three families, Spirochaetaceae, Serpulinaceae, and Leptospiraceae. Among them, Spirochaetaceae includes a complex group of organisms that have adapted to different ecological niches; Serpulinaceae contains only a single genus, Brachyspira, showing a more narrow lifestyle of living in the animals' lower gut; Leptospira mainly includes environmental saprophytes and animal parasites that circulate between freshwater bodies and their preferred hosts.

In contrast to other bacterial phyla, the flagella of spirochetes are anchored in the periplasmic space to extend the length of the cell. Most spirochetes are free-living and anaerobic and undergo asexual transverse binary fission. Depending on the ecological niche in which spirochetes inhabit, guanine-cytosine content, and genome size, they have different pathogenic abilities. For example, Leptospira species causes leptospirosis, Borrelia burgdorferi causes Lyme disease, Borrelia recurrentis causes relapsing fever, Brachyspira pilosicoli and Brachyspira aalborgi cause intestinal spirochaetosis, Treponema pallidum subspecies cause treponematoses. Synthesized in 1907, Arsphenamine is the first antimicrobial drug against spirochaetes.

Anti-Spirochete Abs at Creative Biolabs

After identifying the target, we can proceed with antigen preparation and animal immunization. Next, the produced antibodies can be screened by screening techniques such as hybridomas, antibody libraries, and single B cell clones, and finally positive clones can be obtained. In order to develop antibody drugs, additional in vitro and in vivo experiments are required to confirm their effectiveness and safety. Based on our extensive experience and advanced platforms, now we can provide a wide range of antibodies against a selection of actinomycete species. Our antibodies are available in a wide selection of formats (sdAb, IgG, Fab, and scFv) and can be used for applications such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), etc.

We have created an anti-Organism antibody products inventory to meet all your research needs.

Equipped with world-leading technology platforms and professional scientific staff, Creative Biolabs can provide a series of anti-spirochete antibodies. If you are interested in our products, please do not hesitate to contact us for more details.
