Description
Clone ch2C7 is a chimeric (mouse/human) monoclonal IgG recognizes Neisseria gonorrhoeae lipooligosaccharide (LOS). It has a CDC enhancement mutant in Fc region. Greater complement activation by 2C7-E430G Fc translated to increased bactericidal activity in vitro and, consequently, enhanced efficacy in mice, compared with "Fc-unmodified" chimeric 2C7.

Introduction
Neisseria gonorrhoeae is the second most common bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI). "2C7 epitope" refers to a highly conserved oligosaccharide structure, a part of lipooligosaccharide (LOS), on Neisseria gonorrhoeae. LOS is a critical component of the outer membrane of Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
