Overview

Carcinoid is a rare type of tumor that occurs primarily in the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, and lungs. They are generally thought to be the result of abnormal proliferation of cells with endocrine functions. Hormones secreted by these tumors may affect surrounding tissues, causing a range of symptoms and signs. Human Pancreas Total RNA, Donor 822 is extracted from normal pancreas tissue of a single carcinoid/neuroendocrine tumors human donor using a classical guanidine isothiocyanate-phenol: chloroform extraction method. RNA goes through rigorous quality control procedures to ensure the highest quality possible.
