Overview

There are many similarities between cattle and humans in physiological characteristics, such as immune system and metabolic process, which makes the bovine model have high reference value in the research of related diseases. Bovine Universal Reference RNA is prepared from wide variety of male and female bovine major tissues. Total RNA is extracted by the classical guanidine isothiocyanate-phenol chloroform extraction method, which can quickly isolate total RNA including microRNAs. RNA is treated with RNase-free DNase-1 to remove residual DNA.
