Skin Irritation & Corrosion Evaluation by Human Dermal Tissue Model

Human skin is the first line of defense that protects humans from external environmental threats and is one of the organs most easily exposed to toxic substances. It is essential to predict the effects of products or chemical treatments on the skin prior to clinical application. Creative Biolabs will assist you in effectively predicting the skin irritation/corrosion of chemicals through our human dermal tissue model.

Skin Irritation & Corrosion

Skin irritation represents the localized reversible inflammatory changes that occur following exposure to specific compounds, while corrosiveness signifies irreversible tissue damage induced by such compounds. Both phenomena epitomize fundamental toxicological assessments concerning the safety of chemical substances.

Prediction of Chemical Skin Effects by Creative Biolabs Human Dermal Tissue Model

We utilize a highly differentiated 3D tissue model formed by normal human dermal keratinocytes, closely mimicking the morphological, histological, and physiological characteristics of the human skin epidermal layer. This validated in vitro reconstructed human epidermal system will serve as a powerful tool for your pharmaceutical, chemical, toxicity, and skincare testing purposes.

Benefits from Our Model

  • Our standard tests include MTT cell viability assay conducted with 8N potassium hydroxide as the control group. Additionally, endpoint tests such as TEER, cytokine analysis, and membrane damage are also available options.
  • Our model consists of organized basal cells, metabolically active stratum corneum, and intact granular layer, providing excellent clinical predictive value.
  • We strictly adhere to the testing guidelines set by OECD, ensuring reliable and relevant identification of chemicals by any testing model.
  • We are capable of screening compounds on a large scale and predicting reliable data on human stimulatory responses.
  • Our routine tests include MTT cell viability assay, while irritant testing, histopathological analysis, and release of inflammatory factors are also feasible.

What Else We Provide?

Creative Biolabs hope to provide you with reliable, predictable, and reproducible data with our human skin tissue model. By combining with tissue vitality, inflammatory response, and barrier function readings, we are capable of identifying the potential irritant or sensitizing effects of compounds.

With our validated protocols and experienced team of experts, we aim to be your best partner for any predictive in vitro applications. Please feel free to contact us for consultations or discussion on your needs.
