Patient-Derived Cervical Cancer Organoid Model

Cervical cancer, seen as the fourth killer of women's health worldwide, is the growth of abnormal cells in the lining of the cervix. In most cases, this disease originates from the stratified squamous epithelium. This healthy tissue caused by cervical cancer hasn’t been tackled completely. Creative Biolabs is committed to developing research tools for cervical cancer and strives to be your most loyal partner, always accompanying you on the road of life science.

Construction of Patient-derived Cervical Cancer Organoid Models

Generally, cervical cancer organoids can be generated by isolating the endocervix or ectocervix tissues from the human cervix and processing them in a preset procedure. Firstly, the tissues are digested by collagenase (endocervix) or dispase-trypsin (ectocervix). Subsequently, the cells are subjected to the encapsulation of a common matrix liking basement membrane extract (BME) matrix. Finally, they will be expanded in an optimized medium to form the type of organoids we want.

Advantages of Patient-derived Cervical Cancer Organoid Models

The emerge of organoid technology brings inspiration to the cervical cancer research field in terms of establishing in vitro models. Creative Biolabs appreciates the bright prospect of patient-derived organoid models for promoting cervical cancer studies and will ensure our customers fully experience the charm of 3D culture cell systems from our organoid models. These models are promising to become your best choice under certain research scenarios based on their unique advantages as follows.

  • Such models keep natural tumor cell functions.
  • Although cultured in vitro, this model presents a similar structure to the original tumor in vivo.
  • They are more suitable for predicting drug responses in the human body.
  • Such organoid models present a high-throughput potential.
  • This novel model can be used for establishing the organoid biobank.
  • They play an essential role in exploring personalized therapies.

Applications

To date, the patient-derived cervical cancer organoid models have displayed a variety of exciting applications in improving human health and overcoming disease. As organoids gradually become more systematic and mature, the novel technology will promote the advancement of life science, especially contributing more to the drug research and development field.
