Creative Biolabs is a world-leading service provider of application-specific antibody development. Here, we introduce our in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody development and immunoassay development services targeting the erythropoietin marker. We are confident that our commitment to science and research will enable us to offer you the best products and services.
General introduction of Erythropoietin
Erythropoietin (EPO), also referred to hematopoietin or hemopoietin, is a glycoprotein cytokine, a hormone produced by the kidney that promotes the formation and the growth of specific types of red blood cells by the bone marrow. As the prime regulator of red cell production, erythropoietin stimulates the bone marrow to initiate the synthesis of hemoglobin, secrete more red blood cells, which increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. Measurement of the blood erythropoietin level can be detected and measured in the blood (the EPO test), which contribute to detecting certain medical conditions. Synthesized erythropoietin can be used as a treatment of some forms of anemia. Erythropoietin has been misused as a performance-enhancing drug by some athletes. When Epo binds to its dimeric receptor (EpoR) on erythroid progenitor cells, the two receptor monomers are pulled together allowing phosphorylation of JAK2 kinase, which initiates the signal transduction cascade.

Erythropoietin and Sepsis Diseases
In critically ill patients, sepsis is regarded as the most important cause of acute kidney injury (AKI) and acute lung injury (ALI). The cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) model in experimental mice is built to reproduce most of the clinical features of sepsis. As a well-known cytoprotective multifunctional hormone, EPO exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-apoptotic and pro-angiogenic effects in several tissues. The underlying mechanisms of EPO protection is evaluated through the expression of the EPO/EPO receptor (EPO-R) and VEGF/VEF-R2 systems in kidneys and lungs of mice undergoing CLP-induced sepsis. Abnormal erythropoietin levels are associated with possible disease of the bone marrow or kidneys and sepsis.
IVD Antibodies for Erythropoietin
IVD antibodies are extensively used for disease screening, therapeutic monitoring, and immunology methods such as immunonephelometry immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and sandwich ELISA. In order to render more precise antibody-based diagnostic tools and assist clinicians in the diagnosis, prognosis, and staging of diseases, Creative Biolabs is providing IVD antibody development services to produce high-sensitive antibodies of top-quality for diagnostic usage. Creative Biolabs also offers a variety of antibodies against erythropoietin for IVD diagnostic of sepsis.
IVD Antibody Development Services for Erythropoietin Marker
IVD antibodies have been widely used for disease screening and therapeutic monitoring. As a research partner with years of experience in high-quality antibody development and production, Creative Biolabs offers one-stop solutions from antigen design to antibody pair screening. Besides, we also offer diagnostic immunoassay development services, including feasibility analysis, assay design, assay protocol establishment, assay optimization, and kit production.
