Hepatitis B-on-a-Chip Model Introduction

Creative Biolabs has demonstrated the long-term maintenance of differentiated human hepatocytes as well as the utility of our hepatitis B-on-a-chip model. Our in vitro human hepatocyte culture systems mimic the environment and cellular architecture of the liver and can be used for diverse liver biology studies and liver-related disease research.

Glance at Our Hepatitis B-on-a-chip Model

The in vitro hepatitis B-on-a-chip model uses a microfluidic cell culture platform with a continuous perfusion system and hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication cycle. Hepatocytes cultured in the liver sinusoid on a chip with a perfusion system are infected with HBV. HBV replicates in the hepatocytes and is secreted from the host cell. The expression of HBV proteins and duplication of HBV in septic cells can be found through immunofluorescence staining or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis, singly.

Advantages of Our Hepatitis B-on-a-chip Model

  • Act for original distinguish hepatocytes and generally have changed indicating pathways.
  • Provide a physiological environment where hepatocytes constantly interact with other types of liver cells.
  • Isolate viable primary human hepatocyte (PHH) from liver resections.
  • Fulfill the requirement for multiplexing.

Applications of Hepatitis B-on-a-chip Model

  • Represent analysis of the consequences of an HBV infection accurately.
  • Facilitate long-term liver-related disease studies successfully.
  • Capable of being elongated to longitudinal investigations containing viral infections of primary human hepatocytes.
